Persimmon 2 柿2

The persimmons are on sale

I bought a package of 6, but they tend to get soft very quickly.

I checked on the internet and found a way to keep them longer.  You just need to keep the calyx wet with a wet paper towel (only the calyx, the paper shouldn’t touch the skin of the persimmon).  Then wrap it with plastic film (Saran wrap) and keep them in the fridge.  After a few days make sure that the paper towel is still wet if you want to keep them longer.  I could keep them for one week, but I heard that they can keep up to one month without becoming soft.

Of course it is better to eat them fresh.
