We went to a family restaurant one weekend for lunch
A family came to sit at the table next to us: the parents and 2 sons, about 11 and 14 years old.
As soon as they sat down, the father put on earphones and started listening to something. The older son was doing something with his smartphone and the younger one started playing a game on his DS. The mother ordered the food and then just sat there doing nothing.
Nothing changed once they were served. There was no conversation at all and they left as soon as they finished eating.
Maybe it was important for them to go out together.
週末にファミレスにランチを食べに行きました。
隣の席に家族と思われる4人が案内されました。両親と小学校高学年と中学生の男の子2人でした。
席に着くなり、お父さんはイヤフォンをつけ、スマホで何かを聴き始めました。上の子はずっとスマホをいじっていて、下の子は携帯ゲーム機で遊んでいました。お母さんが全員分の注文をし、何もせずに座っているだけでした。
食事が来てもお父さんはそのまま、上の子も下の子もそのまま。会話をすることなく食事を食べ、食べ終わるとすぐに帰って行きました。
一緒に出かけるだけいいという事でしょうか？
