When I was still working, my boss came from China with some Chinese money.
He was a German working in China. It was his first time to visit Japan. He asked me where he could change Chinese money into Japanese yen. At that time, we couldn’t exchange Chinese money into Japanese yen at any banks in town (I heard that airport banks are OK).
We tried the ATM machine in a convenience store next to the office to draw some money with his Chinese bank card, but that didn’t work. I took him to a post office ATM and it worked so he could get some Japanese money.
Now, Seven Eleven ATMs are OK for international transactions. It became convenient.
まだ働いていたころ、上司が中国から中国のお金を持って来ました。
中国で働いているドイツ人で、初めて日本に来ました。中国のお金を日本円に両替したいと言いましたが、当時空港以外の銀行で中国のお金を日本円にすることはできませんでした。
会社近くのコンビニのATMで中国の銀行カードを使ってお金を下そうとしましたが、できませんでした。確か郵便局のATMは使えたような気がしたので、連れていったところ、無事にお金を下すことができました。
今ではセブンイレブンのATMも使えるようになりました。便利です。
