Local Autumn Festival 秋祭り

There is an autumn festival in our village.

It was a summer festival before this year, but we decided to do it in autumn this year.  Some days are rather chilly, but better than too hot.

I helped with the preparation.  We have a bazaar, so I helped to decided the price and wrapping.  All of the items are hand-made and are prepared little by little for the festival.  They start preparing the food the day before the festival and start cooking a few hours before the festival starts.  They will serve chestnuts rice, fried noodles, chicken sticks, and so on.

The band my husband sometimes plays with will come to play some music.

Just worried about the weather, but I’m looking forward to it.

村のお祭りがあります。

去年までは夏祭りでしたが、今年は秋祭りになりました。もう涼しいというよりも寒い日もありますが、暑いよりは良いです。

準備のお手伝いをしました。バザーもあるので値段を決めたり包装したり。バザーの品は手作りで、お祭りのために前もって少しずつ作っていたそうです。前の日から食べ物の準備もあるそうです。今年は栗ご飯、焼きそば、焼き鳥などだそうです。

夫が時々一緒に演奏しているバンドも参加してくれるそうです。

天気だけが心配ですが、楽しみです。
