We went to Izunuma to see lotus flowers.
We have been waiting for good weather but we couldn’t wait any longer. The season for lotus flowers is coming to an end.
It took about three hours to drive there. The sky was mostly blue when we left, but then it starting raining a bit and it was cloudy at lake Izunuma. We saw the flowers from a small boat. It wasn’t crowded at all because the ‘obon’ holiday time had not quite started yet.
I think it was a bit too late for the peak, but still we could see a lot of flowers. We will go there again next year.
蓮を見に伊豆沼に行ってきました。
天気が良くなるのを待っていましたが、もう待てなくなりました。蓮のシーズンが終わってしまうからです。
伊豆沼まで車で約3時間かかりました。出かけたときはほとんど青空でしたが、近づくにつれ雲が多くなり、雨も少し降りました。伊豆沼に着いたときは曇りでした。船に乗って蓮を見ますが、お盆休みの前なので船は空いていました。
ちょっと花のピークは過ぎていたようですが、まだまだたくさん見ることができました。来年もまた行きたいと思います。
